Product Overview

Residual moisture on the tape surface, if carried into subsequent embossing or winding processes, can cause unclear embossing, roll adhesion, or mildew. This production line is equipped with a two-stage water removal system to ensure complete drying before further processing.

System Operation

The first water removal device, located after the first cooling tank, uses a high-pressure centrifugal fan (4KW) with 4 suction pipe sets to initially remove bulk water. The second water removal device, at the outlet of the secondary cooling tank, features a high-pressure centrifugal fan (7.5KW) and 4 water removal units for efficient, fine drying. The two-stage system works together to ensure the tape entering the embosser and winder is completely dry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are two stages of water removal needed? Isn't one enough?
After the first tank, a large amount of water adheres to the tape surface; one stage can remove about 80%. However, the remaining water film still needs strong blowing. The second stage uses a more powerful fan to ensure complete dryness, especially adapting to reduced water splash at high speeds.
Will the airflow from the water removal units blow the tape off course?
The design uses a fan-shaped airflow with adjustable angle, directed tangentially to the tape surface, primarily generating shear force to peel off the water film, with minimal impact on the tape's running path. Proper adjustment prevents wandering.
Are the fans noisy?
High-pressure centrifugal fans do generate some noise, but the equipment includes noise reduction measures and protective covers. For noise-sensitive environments, optional additional sound enclosures or remote fan installation can be provided.
